Baldelli Pottery Banks

I love mid-century modern decor, so it's no suprise I'm always on the lookout for fun finds from the 60's and 70's for the shop.  Recently, I scored a pair of ceramic animal banks from Baldelli Ceramiche, an Italian pottery maker located outside Perugina.




Baldelli produced a range of these banks, featuring different animals in various shades, for sale in US department stores during the 60s/70s.  They are highly collectible today -- especially the coveted cat bank, which resembles the work of mid-century Scandinavian artist Lisa Larson.  I sold this orange version of the cat earlier this year via my etsy site:
